We love to live in a society that really cares and thinks more or less the same. Parties, meetings and celebrations are means to express ones social needs. So we should never avoid it and always encourage it full heartedly.
According to Big Bang theory the universe was a compact ball that exploded into so many small fragments. Our Universe was the result. Why is the same theory working with our family system? We used to live in joint families. Now, in this modern era most of the people are living in nuclear families and are least bothered about their relatives and neighborhood. Most of the husbands and wives are working, and they don’t even have time for each other, what to talk of socialization. Now another Big bang and there is no family system at all. Some live-in together and some want only part time companion for fun. Everybody is self centered and live life just for fun. Everything is fun…
We are in rush to achieve everything fast. We can’t wait for anything, anybody. We just go on…leaving behind our morals and ethics with our grandparents in the old homes.
A non-profit organization Rochester Cares organized ‘King for a Day’ voluntary services celebrating King Martin Luther’s B’day at Rochester Presbyterian Home RPH), where people from different segments including people like Shashi and Ashish to name a few employees from India’s software giant TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) had come to help them to the play Bingo. They helped to set up an activity room for the residents. Loneliness, boredom and helplessness are the main cause of misery. They helped them to realize that they are self sufficient to take care of them. They are independent and free. So, first you love yourself and then you would love this world too!
One of the old man George told his story to Manish, a volunteer from India. George said that her daughter is a big shot in a company and his granddaughter has a daughter too! He was a car racer. Now he finds his family in the home itself!
One old woman came some days ago, so she was quite upset, but happy with friends. A woman told,” I am more than 100 yrs., why will I play Bingo? I will rather take rest!
Why such cruelty with our past and future? What will we give to our children if we forget everything we got from our parents and grandparents?
One more Big bang is coming in effect as an individual is shattered in so many parts with dual and multiple personalities. Most of the time they are jealous of others happiness and they blame other persons for their misery. They are danger to the society.
Most of the people have realized their fault and are just bracing their past and turning their head back in search of peace and love. They are again back to the nature, back to society and loving family. Why should others also complete this vicious circle? Why to run behind the crowd? How can we plan for a global village with shattered human beings, family and society? Shan’t we rethink and change our strategy towards our family and society? Family and society is the backbone of our system as Man is social.
