Diversity is a very common word for all of us. We know it and feel it all around. We are all different. No two people are exactly same in this world. Everybody is unique. We rejoice it. Cathode attracts anode. We are curious to know the difference. So, we also see unity in diversity. There is unity when we speak the same language or stay at the same location or eat the same food. In this fast changing world everything is dynamic. To maintain this dynamism we have to respect diversity and have to manage it very well. There is no escape!
We are doing business in a global setting. We deal with diverse customers/clients, so we need diversity at workplace too. This way it becomes easier to deal with customers from different countries, race, culture and traditions. We will know them better, to serve them better!
There are different ways to celebrate diversity. We can call for an international food night. We can tell everybody to bring a delicacy from other country. It’s fun to try something new. We can also invite our clients and selected customers on the very day. They will be more than happy to join it. So, here we get a chance to build better relationships.
Olympics are a good idea to implement. Sports and games from various countries can be tried. Practice session will be fun for everyone! It’s interesting to try some new shots! It will create healthy competition among the employees. We will get the results on the sensex and on the growth chart at the same time.
Auction is a way to get rid of unnecessary things from office. These things can be very valuable for personal use. They will own it at reasonable price and cherish it. Collected money can be used for charity purpose. There can be no better reason for shopping!

Diversity helps to build a global village. One day we will break the walls between the countries. There will be no Great Wall of China! We will not fight with diversity, but will respect it for no reason. We will know each other so nicely that we will have no confusions! We will be resident of the global village! All aboard, no body will be left in the third world!
Globalization has increased diversity in all contexts. Cultural diversity can be seen all over the world as a big portion of population migrates to other places for better opportunity. We are living in a neighborhood where people from different country, ethnicity, race and religion, interact with each other. We learn new things; perceive new attitudes and viewpoints about life. We know pros and cons of the other culture. We correct ourselves and simultaneously affect the other side too.
We are working with diversity. There is frustration and grief among many communities from other countries. We can help them to come out of it by various means. Many Ethnic communities don’t know English very well or sometimes not at all. So, We can help them by joining the community and devote sometime as an English tutor. They are eager to know about the local food. We can share that knowledge with them. We can also educate them about the local culture and society. It will be a great help for the people.
Our own associates and their family members can be invited to join the group. It’s an added advantage to them. This way, we can create a positive image of the company among our own people and community. It will help to develop trust and will take care of the bottom line that we care. Diverse workforce will retain for a long time, as they will feel comfortable at work. Consequently, Client and customers will also be at their comfort zone and the business will grow day by day.
